« Lune Rouge », whose release is scheduled for this Autumn, promises to be a disruptive, colorful, and innovative album: a mosaic of creativity. With Arthur Hnatek at the helm - drummer of the Quartet since the album « Doni Doni » - the group has taken care to experiment with new sounds, composed of infinite repetitions, more digital and complex rhythms and melodies; all coupled with a cosmic and tense lyricism. Inspired by the alignment of the stars, Erik crafted « Lune Rouge » with the ambition of elevating his music towards a lunar musical daydream. Keyboardist Benoît Corboz uses analog synths for the first time, opening infinite spaces as in the first excerpt from Lune Rouge, « Five on the floor » where the atmospheric melody of the trumpeter sings over the layers of Benoit Corboz and the rhythm of Arthur Hnatek and bassist Marcello Giuliani. Their best record perhaps, the clearest for sure, bathed in an ochre light, with a telluric force. A work thus unknown but one that has long been sought after.
