Mexico

Description

ERGO SUM is a Progressive Rock band based in Aix-en-Provence, led by singer Lionel LEDISSEZ and flautist Jean GUERIN. The band's unique (but highly sought-after!) album, "Mexico" (1972), is now reissued by the Musea label with a complete biography and bonus tracks. It is full of the freshness and energy of the early seventies. This music is based on fragmented and tortured lyrics, subtle themes, and abounds in numerous breaks and shifts in mood. One also notes the colorful combinations of violin, flute, Fender piano, organ, and guitar. A powerful and tormented music, evolving between FAMILY (the singer's voice can evoke that of Roger CHAPMAN), VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR, and the early albums of GENESIS. A must-revisit!
