Denovali is pleased to present the second collaborative album by Italian composer, arranger, producer, and guitarist ERALDO BERNOCCHI with Japanese violinist, composer, electronic producer, and Berlin-based member of TANGERINE DREAM, HOSHIKO YAMANE. Eraldo Bernocchi and Hoshiko Yamane have come together once again to create their second album, inspired by the Japanese concept of "Sabi." The record is a unique blend of electronic and acoustic music - with Bernocchi's pulsing textures and Yamane's enchanting violin melodies intertwining to create a captivating and emotional soundscape. "Sabi" is a Japanese aesthetic that celebrates the beauty of impermanence and decay. It is often associated with the simplicity, austerity, and solitude found in nature, and is said to evoke a sense of melancholy, nostalgia, and reverence for the passage of time. Bernocchi and Yamane's "Sabi" explores these themes through a collection of minimalist compositions that combine electronic and acoustic instruments, immersing the listener in a deeply cinematic experience. The album takes the listener on a journey through a series of atmospheric, sometimes melancholic pieces that evoke the feeling of solitude and simplicity often associated with the concept, while at other times being more energetic and uplifting, celebrating the beauty of the ephemeral. The artwork has once again been created by renowned designer Petulia Mattioli.
