At the beginning of this year, the world-renowned Italian composer Ennio Morricone passed away at the age of 91. During his extraordinary career, which spanned over six decades, he created more than 600 original compositions. To pay tribute to him, Decca Records is releasing "Morricone – Secret," a new compilation tracing the composer's most creative period, between the late 60s and early 80s, and including 7 previously unreleased tracks.
Through the selected works, listeners will discover the hidden and eccentric side of his genius and embark on a darker and more psychedelic sound journey with mysterious voices, fuzz, ethereal strings, sinister synths... "Morricone – Secret" is a true treasure trove of rare and forgotten pieces and alternative takes from his label's historical archives.
