{"product_id":"endless-boogie_admonitions_2021_mdl","title":"Admonitions","description":"Endless Boogie formed in the mid-1990s in Manhattan's Lower East Side. For years, the band was content to be a rehearsal group, a reason to get Paul Major, a rare record dealer, out of his house. They started gaining attention by opening for Stephen Malkmus (Pavement) at the Bowery Ballroom in 2001. After two self-produced albums, they released their first proper album, *Focus Level*, in 2008. Endless Boogie now returns with their fifth studio album, *Admonitions*. Seven tracks, mostly recorded improvisationally over a two-year period across several sessions, which took the band to the pastoral tranquility of the inner archipelago of Svartsjö near Stockholm (at the studio founded by Jacob Sjöholm of Trad, Gras, Och Stenar) in 2018, to the cramped, damp basement of a Fort Greene studio in Brooklyn in 2020, and to Llano, Texas. Jesper Eklow (guitar) directs, Matt Sweeney (guitar) adds a touch of stealthy glamour, the chiaroscuro Paul Major (guitar, vocals) is, as always, front and center, Mike Bones' (bass) ferocity is crucial, and Harry Druzd's (drums) stoic solidity supports it all. Their old friend Kurt Vile also features on the track \"Counterfeiter.\" Perfectly honed and delivered with simplicity, the band's magical recipe, which simply aims to immerse listeners in their sound, is effective.","brand":"Endless Boogie","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55311928000856,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0843563141021.jpg?v=1760406406","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/endless-boogie_admonitions_2021_mdl","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
