{"product_id":"en-esch_dance-hall-putsch_2025_dif","title":"Dance Hall Putsch","description":"En Esch's Corrosive New Album Decimates Standards and Dancefloors Alike. Anyone familiar with industrial luminary En Esch and his essential work in outfits such as KMFDM and PIG knows he’s no stranger to making political statements through his art. Now, on his first LP in eight years, Dance Hall Putsch, Esch decimates your standards and dancefloors with vitriol. Featuring carefully sown and complementary features from former KMFDM alumni Raymond Watts, Guenter Schulz, and Mark Durante, as well as Vas Kallas (Hanzel Und Gretyl), Mea Fisher and Erica Dilanjian (Lords of Acid), Hope Nicholls (Pigface), and more, Dance Hall Putsch delivers everything an industrial fan could want. From the categorically punishing industrial metal riffs of opener \"Get Lost\" to the sharp EBM electronics of \"Yum Yum Beauty \u0026amp; The Nasty Thief,\" it’s all here and in no fewer than four languages. En Esch’s signature raspy vocals are often contrasted by the sparkling vocals of his female counterparts, and the album is rich with brutal honesty, humor, and even a bonus En Esch lullaby. “I started working on Dance Hall Putsch at the beginning of Covid-19. I was trying to create an uplifting, rather positive, and very danceable album to leave the pandemic days behind us. Then it turned out a war started close to my home with tens of thousands of civilians killed and injured so far. Everybody was taken by surprise and it influenced me, especially lyrically: “The current conflict is taking place only 800 kilometers from Berlin, and while that doesn’t make it any more horrible than other wars, it’s very close to home. Living with this ‘war next door’ caused the album to turn out much more sinister than initially intended. It became a rather political album that reflects the absurdity and viciousness of all the current wars that surround us. It’s always the innocent and those with no power who suffer the most. Their fate is not always death, but quite often unspeakable and long-term suffering. We must not forget them or close our eyes.” “I am very happy I had the opportunity to collaborate with different and interesting colleagues here. Thank you all for your interest in my musical works as well as your love and support.” ---En Esch---.","brand":"En Esch","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55307401986392,"sku":null,"price":20250117.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0762184012223_5f7177e1-7976-48fc-b5cb-0c0cbfc06e6c.jpg?v=1760303495","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/en-esch_dance-hall-putsch_2025_dif","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
