EMPRESS OF ME Lorely Rodriguez, this young American woman who hides behind the pseudonym Empress Of, was the darling of many blogs starting in 2012. Indeed, the Brooklyn singer created a buzz with her first classy and effective electro-pop productions that thrilled the blogosphere. In 2013, she continued to make a strong impression with her EP, System, and did not escape the numerous comparisons to Grimes. A New Yorker of Mexican origin, Lorely signed with the Terrible Records label in 2013 and made a notable appearance at the Pitchfork Festival the same year. Since then, she has written, composed, and produced her first album, which includes the energetic and captivating first single "Water Water." A pure moment of electro dreampop that stands out from the experimental pop of her beginnings.
