David Ellefson, one of the founders of Megadeth, created his solo group, Ellefson. In the midst of preparing original tracks, the band took a completely different direction after testing covers planned for B-sides and bonuses. David and his accomplices Thom Hazaert (vocals), Andy Martongelli (guitar), Ron "Bumblefoot" (guitar), and Paolo Caridi (drums) then decided to make it a real album. 'No Cover' thus features 18 songs from the greatest Hard Rock and Metal bands of all time, such as Queen, KISS, Def Leppard, AC/DC, Motörhead, and many others. Ellefson's versions capture the spirit of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, and many friends of Megadeth/Ellefson joined the project, including Charlie Benante (Anthrax), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), and Dirk Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth), Doro Pesch, Frank Hannon, and Troy Lucketta (Tesla) to create an explosion of Metal and an album that will please all fans of the genre.
