Ella Fitzgerald practically invented the live album. But this previously unknown concert stands out.
In the summer of 1967, Ella was in the midst of a particularly fruitful three-year touring and recording collaboration with Duke Ellington, and was incorporating hit pop songs from the late 60s into her concert repertoire, two of which are presented here for the first time on record. The tapes were recently discovered in the private collection of N Grantz.
