Ella & Louis - Complete Small Group Studio Recordings
Description
Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong first recorded one of their collaborations on January 18, 1946, with a single 78-rpm record. They recorded a few more tracks together until 1956, then their collaboration intensified with three albums for jazz producer Norman Granz between 1956 and 1957: Ella & Louis, its sequel Ella & Louis Again, and a selection of tracks from George Gershwin's Porgy & Bess. The first two albums were recorded in a small group with Oscar Peterson's famous trio.
