Description
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Elizete Cardoso (1920-1990) is one of Bossa Nova's most famous voices. In 1939, she began performing in clubs, movie theaters, and other venues, achieving considerable success that significantly boosted her popularity. In 1958, she was invited by Vinícius de Moraes, along with Antonio Carlos Jobim, to be the singer on his vinyl "Canção do Amor Demais," the first bossa nova music album.
