She launched her solo career amidst the COVID crisis, with a confined room as her laboratory and the street as her audience. This period provided an opportune moment to reconnect with emotional depth, sincerity in lyrics, and the nuances of the guitar. The result of this work is frank and spirited music, as sensual as it is abrasive, daring to blend American black blues with 90s and 2000s garage rock. A sound that goes against the sanitized aesthetic of modern productions, simply raw music.\n\nIn 2022, newly a power trio, FRANK finally performed live after two years of cultural standstill, and quickly gained local recognition. The following autumn, the artist and her band fulfilled a childhood dream: to play in Ireland. The tour confirmed her desire to export her music to places where live performance still holds significant importance. Back in France, Elise, under the name FRANK, recorded her first entirely self-produced album (as a quartet, with Thom Carlton on second guitar, Colin Pradier on bass, and Sébastien Gaschard on drums), which was released in April 2023.\n\n\"I’m a Phony and a Fraud,\" reviewed in Rock \u0026 Folk, received a warm welcome from the media and public, opening doors for Elise FRANK to venues and festivals, including the legendary Cognac Blues Passions, where a certain Buddy Guy was also performing that same year. After Les Abattoirs de Cognac, the venue La Sirène in La Rochelle offered its support through professional guidance. This guidance provided her with the opportunity to perform solo on stage, as well as to open for artists such as Robert Finley, Delgres, Gaëlle Buswel, Moundrag, and Ben L'Oncle Soul.\n\nIt was in 2024 that the name FRANK truly began to resonate in the blues sphere, notably with a remarkable appearance at the Rory Gallagher Festival (Ireland). Elise chose to prioritize the experience of live performance and improvisation over a polished image with music videos and press photos. This approach seems to be working, as she is invited from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands, and Poland to join the lineups of famous blues festivals. FRANK is even listed in L'Encyclopédie du Rock en France (a book by Christophe Goffette).\n\nThat same year, Elise created the original soundtrack for the documentary film Targuia by Leïla de Artese Benhadj (produced by Justin Pechberty and Nabil Bellahsene, Les Valseurs).
