Description

3rd VINYL EP in the NEW SERIES PRODUCED BY GUTS. In his natural musical environment, a colourful mix of Latin rhythms, percussion, flutes, brass and electro, El Gato Negro thought he could blend into the background without being noticed, the most colourful feline in the Afro-tropical jungle. But he didn't count on Guts, the indefatigable sound tracker who, camouflaged under his eternal bush hat, was on one of his famous expeditions that day in search of new sounds. With a keen ear and always on the lookout, it didn't take him long to spot this cat, who from the canopy was taunting him in Spanish and French. Just enough time to pull out his blowpipe and fire a few hypodermic sapphires to flush him out, but El Gato Negro had already decamped, leaving behind two tracks that Guts quickly put in his shoulder bag. Back in his studio, and rather than displaying them like trophies, Guts set about exploiting their potential. By redistilling the groove, cutting, remixing, and extending certain parts to re-energize others, he made edited versions of "T'aimes Pas Ça" and "Toca Y Toca".
