El Comité, the group of virtuoso Cuban jazz soloists consisting of Carlos Sarduy (trumpet), Irving Acao (tenor & soprano saxophone), Harold López-Nussa (piano, keyboards), Gastón Joya (double bass, electric bass), Yaroldy Abreu (percussion), and Rodney Barreto (drums), presents their second album 'Carrousel'. Featuring Ibrahim Maalouf and Pedrito Martinez.
Recorded at Studio Ferber in Paris, 'Carrousel' was produced by Sébastien Vidal (Yuri Buenaventura, Christian Escoudé…), artistic director of Duc des Lombards and various festivals. This is the second album from this collective, festive, sometimes romantic, composed and performed by artists who have played with the cream of the international scene, from Ray Lema to David Murray or Esperanza Spalding, while also being partners of the leading figures in Cuban music of the last twenty years: Irakere and Chucho Valdes, Omara Portuondo, Los Van Van, Isaac Delgado, Buena Vista Social Club, and many others.
'Carrousel' features eleven tracks, including nine original compositions, and two covers ("Wonderwall" by Oasis and "La Fama" by Rosalia and The Weeknd).
