Titled after a Marilyn Monroe quote: “I don't stop when I'm tired, I stop when I'm done,” the album blends the intimate and personal with broader reflections, presenting itself as a thoughtful celebration of the female experience. This investigation shines through in tracks such as “Honey, do you see me?” and “I'll stop when I'm done”. The eponymous track, inspired by Monroe's quote, begins with grand illusions and, by the end, boils down to the lyrics: “I just want to find someone to love.” It's about telling yourself you desire one thing, then asking: is that really the case? Here, the concept of the female muse is neither passive nor impenetrable. EERA stages her desires and vulnerability, both deeply human and woven into the rich and complex tapestry of femininity. The album is interspersed with more personal tracks. The opening song, “Celebrate,” evokes “that feeling of having to do everything — a very feminine pressure, I think,” while “Talking” delves deeper into “the meaning of love, relationships, and how we experience them differently.” Looking through a dark mirror, EERA opens up our collective experience of love and connection. The inspiration for this album arose from watching old black-and-white films, which led EERA to delve deeper into the lives of the movie stars she encountered there. From Shirley Maclaine in “The Apartment” to Marilyn Monroe in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,” the artist felt drawn to these icons and began to learn about their work and lives. “I felt like I was having a conversation with these women, a dialogue that made me realize a lot about myself.” “I'll stop when I'm done” has a decidedly softer, more muted sound, punctuated by warm percussion and driving intervals. The album was produced with Chris Taylor (Grizzly Bear) and recorded between Berlin and Barcelona. While recording the vocals, EERA sang each song softly from her sofa, “which made the whole thing more relaxed and personal. As women, we have to be brave and make our voices heard, and do a thousand things just to be heard. I think that creates a striking contrast on the album.”","brand":"EERA","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55685687279960,"sku":null,"price":20251212.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/5056688840747_5f219271-0121-4ed3-9f74-403572683a03.jpg?v=1760985767","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/eera_ill-stop-when-im-done_2025_dif","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
