Edwyn Collins is back with his 10th solo album, Nation Shall Speak Unto Nation, and the release of the first track from the record, 'Knowledge'. Released on his own label, AED Records, the 11-track album was recorded at his Clashnarrow studio in Helmsdale, northeast Scotland, and co-produced by Edwyn with Sean Read and Jake Hutton, who all play on the album. Also featured are James Walbourne on guitar, William Collins on bass, Carwyn Ellis on guitar, Lena Wright and Bianca White on backing vocals, and two co-written tracks – “The Mountains Are My Home” with Carwyn and “Strange Old World” with William. “Knowledge,” the first track from the album, is accompanied by a video shot between Christmas and New Year in Edwyn's hometown of Helmsdale, and directed by Delbert Anthonio Wright, a talented young filmmaker. Edwyn Collins, the Scottish singer, musician, and producer born in 1959, rose to fame with the band Orange Juice, pioneers of modern pop in the 80s. Their bold blend of funk, pop, and electronic music was initially misunderstood before being recognized as a major influence. After the band's split, Collins achieved international success in 1985 with the single "A Girl Like You," blending rock and blues. His album *Hope and Despair* in 1989 marked his solo return, followed by several notable works. In 2005, he suffered a double cerebral hemorrhage, delaying the release of *Home Again* in 2007, an introspective album that showcased his resilience. Still active, Edwyn Collins continues to make his mark on the music scene with his unique style and inspiring journey.
