He chose a grand piano by Ignace Pleyel from 1842 to record, at the Royaumont Foundation, works such as the Polonaise-Fantaisie op. 61, the Sonata in B minor op. 58, as well as a selection of Mazurkas and Nocturnes. Above all, it is the art of singing that Torbianelli rediscovers in his interpretation to offer us not only a new way to approach the composer but also a masterful reflection on his genius. A student of Joos van Immerseel, Edoardo Torbianelli is a brilliant fortepianist, passionate about historically informed performance.
