For his new album, Edgar Sekloka wants to embrace everything that erases daily bitterness, which he calls Un peu de sucrr (A Little Bit of Sweetness). A Little Bit of Sweetness is at once love, utopia, clairvoyance, the splash of color that decimates the greyness, the sensuality of music, hope... How can we recreate these few grams of authentic sweetness that are so sorely missing from our modern societies? Just a little bit, because if we swallow too much, the medicine can quickly turn into poison, addiction, authoritarianism, or tyranny, risking making us slaves to ourselves. What are we chasing behind the masks of our dependencies? The question is probably unanswerable, except by having the courage to ask it together. In the possibility of sharing a sensitive and collective experience through music and poetry, as an artistic response to identify what we lack.
