THE CELLIST EDGAR MOREAU APPROACHES IN HIS NEW ALBUM A STRONG MUSICAL TRADITION, THAT OF HEBREW HERITAGE. With his new record, cellist Edgar Moreau approaches a strong musical tradition, that of Hebrew heritage. He knows it well from his family, and it was a natural choice to record Schelomo by Bloch or Kol Nidrei by Bruch, which he played from a very young age with his early talent. The majestic cinematic concerto by Korngold and the famous one by Bruch exalt the cello, just like the very beautiful Hebrew pieces by Ravel. It is with an orchestra he has known for a long time and that endorsed him at a young age that he approached this very characteristic repertoire, showcasing the full extent of a spontaneous talent, a rich and wonderfully singing sound. The Lucerne Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Michael Sanderling.
