{"product_id":"edena-gardens_dispossessed_2025_dif","title":"Dispossessed","description":"Stripping the listener of its superfluities, 'Dispossessed' lives up to its name. The band went to Jonas Munk's studio (Causa Sui) on the last day of February 2025. During a first session, the first note played together since Dens (2023), conclusion of a trilogy and a live album, all in less than a year. Has something changed during this silence? Increased aggression? A faster tempo? A darker atmosphere? A feeling of wasted time? Or is it simply the listener who has shifted? In a world where everything moves so fast, Edena Gardens shows us how to resist and tune into our own heartstrings. Eden Gardens offers subtle changes that only a piece played for the first time can elicit. From the sludgy explosions of the opening track Hiraeth to the droning atmosphere of the ten-minute finale Aftenstjerne. As always, the band travels far while remaining within the same inner universe. Band member Jakob Skøtt made minor modifications to create a record from hours of free improvisation, and every doubled atmosphere was extracted directly from the material recorded that day, putting the band's gestalt at stake in a way that shows its functioning both outwardly and inwardly: Dispossessed.
