Americana
Description
The album "Americana" by pianist, composer and educator Eddie Gripper was born from a six-week hitchhiking journey, from Prudhoe Bay (Alaska), the northernmost city in the United States, to Los Angeles (California). Accompanied by Patrick Barrett-Donlon (drums) and Clem Saynor (double bass), the album brings together seven original compositions and one cover, "American Tune" by Paul Simon. During the summer of 2022, equipped with a tent and sheet music, Gripper and his childhood friend Henry traveled more than 8,000 kilometers along the west coast of North America, from the Arctic Circle to the western United States, passing through Alaska and Canada. Throughout this journey, Gripper sketched over thirty musical fragments, fleeting impressions and finished compositions that formed the basis of the album.Buy Americana at the best price
