After a Grammy-nominated album in 2018 "Heart of Brazil: The Music of Egberto Gismonti," the new project of jazz clarinet icon Eddie Daniels pays tribute to the world-renowned Brazilian musician and composer Ivan Lins! After Antonio Carlos Jobim, Lins is undoubtedly the most well-known Brazilian popular composer outside of Brazil. He was discovered in the 1980s by many American pop and jazz luminaries who undertook English versions of his songs reinterpreted by Barbra Streisand, Michael Buble, Sting, Sarah Vaughan, Patti Austin, and countless others. "Night Kisses" brings together Daniels with legendary jazz pianists Dave Grusin and Bob James, as well as the trio composed of pianist Josh Nelson, bassist Kevin Axt, and drummer Mauricio Zottarelli, and the Grammy Award-winning Harlem Quartet. With new arrangements by Kuno Schmid, 'Night Kisses' gathers songs from Ivan Lins' classic albums released in the late 70s and early 80s. The album was produced by Resonance founder and co-president George Klabin, with arrangements by pianists Josh Nelson, Kuno Schmid, Dave Grusin, and Bob James.
