Six decades after his passing, listening to Eddie Cochran remains as captivating as ever. It only took Eddie Cochran a handful of songs, recorded in just three years, to become the most iconic Rock'n'Roll artist. The Grim Reaper, who sometimes strikes the wise rather than the wicked, put an end to a destiny that promised to be bright and fruitful. More than a singer, Eddie Cochran was first and foremost a guitarist and a musician. Gifted with an original style, a smooth playing technique, and excellent picking skills, he was a fine instrumentalist, often hired to accompany other singers. Instead of eternally mourning the ghost of a career that could not fully unfold, let us rejoice in being able to re-listen to the imperishable songs he left us.
