Following on from the 'Ambience In Dub' box set which compiled Dub Syndicate's early albums, 'Out Here On The Perimeter 1989 - 1996' picks up the story in the late 1980s, with Style Scott at the forefront of the project as bandleader and co-producer, and the emergence of the band as a live entity. It is also at this time that the band enjoyed their greatest popularity, with a series of highly praised albums that combine the best of Jamaican music with the wild studio experimentations of Adrian Sherwood, a maverick of British production, resulting in music that appealed to ravers and dreads alike.
