Hippo Lite

Description

Isolated for a month in an old mill in Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort in the south of France, Welsh musician Cate Le Bon and American musician Tim Presley of White Fence reunited to write and record the successor to their first collaboration, *Hermits On Holiday* (2015). Truly cut off from the world, with no phone service or Wi-Fi, and overwhelmed by the heat, the duo tended to record at night, capturing the sounds of insects and frogs. The music reflects the building that housed them: crumbling, broken, mysterious but alive, making the most of this unique experience. Recorded by Stephen Black (Sweet Baboo) with "JT" John Thomas (Cate Le Bon/Islet) on drums and mixed in Los Angeles by Samur Khouja at Seahorse Sound.
