A Lot, Not Too Much
Description
Douniah presents her debut solo project "A Lot, Not Too Much" to an unexpected audience. Pensively, the singer-songwriter invites us to embark on our own saviour. The collection of songs is imbued with artistic and emotional integrity. Production was led and executed by Dhanya Langer, one half of the group Modha and producer of JujuRogers' 2019 album "40 Acres N Sum Mula." Written in the midst of the pandemic, this piece is an effort of immense proportions: experimenting with her sound over time, wading through a spiral of arduous personal challenges. Born in Agadir and raised in Hamburg, douniah engages in the practice of performing her mind, impressively, in German, Darija, and English. Here, we find a body of work that combines the principles of free verse poetry and romanticism, set against a backdrop of neo-experimental jazz tendencies. In euphony, a range of world instruments act in symbiosis to accompany us.Buy A Lot, Not Too Much at the best price
