Bursting with West Coast twang and deadpan lyrics, the Doohickeys' debut album, All Hat No Cattle, tackles classic country subjects like groping, small trucks, and traffic in Los Angeles. Produced by two-time Grammy nominee Eric Corne, the record will make you two-step and laugh out loud. The opening track, Rein It In Cowboy, features searing licks from Dwight Yoakam's touring guitarist Eugene Edwards, as well as backing vocals from Hayley Orrantia (The Goldbergs, The Masked Singer). World-renowned comedian Jim Jefferies makes an appearance at the end of Please Tell Me You're Sleepin' (he sadly suggested the song's idea to the duo). "This Town Sucks" won the Outstanding Writing Award at the 2023 Great American Song Contest, and the music video for "Rein It In Cowboy" won the American Songwriter video contest.
