For its 20th anniversary, Parkway Drive's first album gets a re-release, on vinyl for the first time! As Australian band Parkway Drive prepares for a world tour to commemorate their 20th anniversary, Epitaph Records announces the release of the band's 2004 debut album, on vinyl for the first time. This augmented version of “Don’t Close Your Eyes” includes the 8 original tracks, as well as bonus tracks from the "split" album with "I Killed the Prom Queen" and the compilation albums “What We’ve Built” and “True Till Death, Volume I.” Hailing from Byron Bay, Australia, Parkway Drive emerged from their serene surroundings with an explosive blend of intricate metallic riffs, crushing breakdowns, and hardcore emotional tension. The band caught fire regionally with hits like "Horizons" (2007) and "Deep Blue" (2010), then broke into the international market in 2012 with the arrival of "Atlas." With "Ire" (2015), the band introduced clean vocals into their work, and they continued to evolve towards a more melodic, yet no less aggressive, metal style with "Reverence" (2018) and "Darker Still" (2022). Parkway Drive remains a force of nature, 20 years on and still one of the best headliners in the hard music scene.
