The Dutch drum machine sensation, Don Melody Club, presents the new single 'Tederheid' and announces the release of the EP 'Zonder Pardon', scheduled for January 29, 2024, by Les Disques Bongo Joe and Excelsior. The tour of Dutch pop venues will kick off on January 27 at Skatecafe in Amsterdam.
'Tederheid' is a celebration of the beauty and power of mutual affection, catapulting you into a seductive underwater jungle with its uptempo drum machine rhythms, pulsing basslines, and funky melodies. The synths and vocals evoke the best work of Talking Heads and Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music), but the result is unmistakably Don Melody Club. 'Koud Kwartier' evokes memories of Doe Maar's Nederwave in its vocal lines and entices the listener to dance or chill with its catchy rhythms.
It's hard to find a stage where Madjid hasn't already been present. As a member of the festival favorite band, The Mauskovic Dance Band, he recently toured the world. However, his agenda for the coming year has been cleared to focus all attention on his solo project, Don Melody Club, armed with a drum machine and a live band.
He gained notoriety with his debut solo album 'Pure Donzin' in 2021 and a well-received 7'' single on the internationally renowned label Bongo Joe. With performances at Le Guess Who, Grasnapolsky, and as an opening act for a vast Goldband tour, Don Melody Club has firmly established himself as a solo artist.
