{"product_id":"dominique-fillon_awaiting-ship_2021","title":"Awaiting Ship","description":"This new adventure in the world of jazz, improvised music within a given framework, as some like to define it, could have been titled \"Saying goodbye to the old world,\" as this idea occupied my inspirations during the creation of the themes I proposed to Dan Schnelle and Alex Boneham. After composing most of this music, I wanted to see for myself, feel, and try to understand what could have driven so many artists to live and create in Los Angeles. I believe it is the light. This part of the world is bathed most of the time in an intense, reassuring, and inspiring light. And it was there that I met Dan and Alex, in a jazz club that warmly and simply welcomes musicians from around the world every evening: the bluewhale. The music there is mixed, blending swing, European classical melodies, African rhythms, and Latin accents. To this crush on these two talented young \"cats,\" I wanted to add to \"enhance\" our trio of inspired guests, trumpeter Sylvain Gontard and a string quartet created for this occasion by Akemi Fillon with Miwa Rosso, Yoko Levy-Kobayashi, and Camille Borsarello. Finally, our long-time friend, Helik Hadar, came from Israel to capture these emotions and infuse his sound color.
