Brazilian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Domenico Lancellotti has collaborated with many big names in MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), such as Adriana Calcanhotto and Marcos Valle, and participated in several projects including Orchestra Imperial, The +2’s (with Moreno Veloso and Kassin), and Ritmistas.
*The Good Is A Big God* is a collection of meditative samba partly inspired by a trip to the Brazilian national park The Serra dos Órgãos. It features numerous contributions from artists such as Nina Miranda, Moreno Veloso, Pedro Sá, and Sean O’Hagan.
The album began to take shape when Domenico was invited to participate in a show in London in the summer of 2012, paying tribute to tropicália, where he met Sean O’Hagan.
