In the wake of the success of her second album, ''Soyo'', and between numerous concerts around the world, Dom la Nena, a Brazilian artist and Parisian by adoption, recorded a beautiful EP of covers of several of her favorite songs. Dom talks about her sources of inspiration for this EP, Cantando, and what guided her in her choice of songs by authors from all backgrounds: "I compose, but I am sometimes seized by a desire to sing the songs of other artists. They all have in common that they have long been among my favorites, often since childhood. With these four, I wanted to create a variety of moods, languages, atmospheres, eras, and revisit my musical roots. For the arrangements, I wanted to keep it simple, offering a minimalist vision that emphasizes the lyrics and melodies. That's why I only used my cello. I must also say that I found in Maxime Le Guil one of the best sound engineers I have ever worked with. His delicate, relevant touch has greatly contributed to the creation of each arrangement."
