Led by brothers Peter O'Doherty and Reg Mombassa, Dog Trumpet has been composing, playing, and recording their music since the early 1990s. Reg and Pete were founding members of the iconic Australian band Mental As Anything, which topped charts worldwide with "Live It Up." The band stood out for its original blend of music, art, video, and humor, earning them ARIA Awards and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009. Dog Trumpet's new album, Live Forever, is the result of two years of studio work. For this ninth album, songwriting brothers Peter and Reg enlisted Peter's multi-instrumentalist son Declan on drums, production, and mixing, enriching their sonic palette. Sometimes psychedelic and ethereal, the album blends Dog Trumpet's signature sound, dominated by acoustic and electric guitar and bass, with melodic percussion, synthesizers, mandolin, saxophone, and backing vocals added by their touring bassist, Bernie Hayes.
