A new disturbing masterpiece of darkness from experimental and progressive black metal. Formed in 1994 by Vicotnik & Aldrahn in Norway, the band first released a debut album of raw and melodic black metal with Fenriz from Darkthrone on bass. They quickly evolved towards a more avant-garde and schizophrenic sound that marked the genre thanks to visionary music. In 4 albums, they are hailed as masters of extreme and psychotic black psychedelia! "A UmbraOmega" is the first studio album since 2007 and marks the return of founding member Aldrahn (Thorns/The Deathtrip) to vocals alongside Vicotnik. The result is undoubtedly a pure success; we have here their most accomplished work. Indeed, without departing from its roots, the band has managed to push its technique and offers us an epic and totally outlandish record. Still as raw and organic, the album's production is handled by Vicotnik himself. The album was mastered at Strype Audio studio in Oslo by Tom Kvålsvoll.
