Similarly, these reflections served as a starting point for Dobrawa Czocher’s aptly titled album DREAMSCAPES. For this, the Polish cellist and composer takes listeners on a journey through the unconscious exploring the mystical richness of reveries through sound. At the ripe old age of just 30, Czocher already has an accomplished career in music. After graduating from two prestigious music universities - the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and the Hochschule für Musik Detmold - she became a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and later solo cellist of the Neue Philharmonie Berlin as well as a soloist at the Szczecin Philharmonic. During these demanding years, Czocher gained a deep understanding of the classical repertoire and excelled as a leading cellist. 'Dreamscapes' is Czocher and Rania’s third album, following 'Inner Symphonies', which was released by Deutsche Grammophon and enjoyed global recognition. Besides Czocher's apparent technical skills on the cello, which she has been developing since the age of seven, it is the naturalness with which she combines philharmonic music with alternative approaches to recording and sound that has so far captivated listeners' imaginations. DREAMSCAPES shows how elegantly a cellist can navigate between classical and contemporary music, and you can hear the influences in her music from Brahms to Philip Glass to GoGo Penguin. In the production of the album, Czocher collaborated with German producer Niklas Paschburg, who used layering techniques to give the music a cinematic quality. Although the 10 tracks on 'Dreamscapes' are not strictly linear, they follow a natural sequence. The journey begins with “Prologue”, which opens with wide, spacious sounds with high harmonics, hinting at the act of falling asleep and entering the dream world with all its boundless wonders and mysteries: \"The feeling and the atmosphere correspond to the opening where you don't know what adventure awaits you - Czocher says about the art.
