New chapter for the Django Festival Allstars! "Evolution" is the festival's fifth album and the quintet's second studio recording, composed entirely of original "new Gypsy Jazz" pieces. The group, founded by guitarist Dorado Schmitt, perpetuates the spirit of Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club de France while bringing a contemporary vision. The trio welcomes exceptional soloists: Samson Schmitt (guitar), Ludovic Beier (accordion/accordina), Pierre Blanchard (violin). Complex high-speed riffs, powerful swing, remarkably effective rhythm section. Groove powerhouses, the rhythm section is equally virtuosic: Antonio Licusati (double bass) and Francko "Locomotive" Mehrstein (rhythm guitar) provide a rhythmic foundation that gives the illusion of a drum set.
