After his maxi "American Werewolf", on which he invited Keith Murray (Def Squad) and Guilty Simpson, and "Gangrene Syndicate", in combination with The Alchemist, Oh No and Sean Price, both released on his label Street Trash Records, DJ Duke follows up with this new opus: "Time To Shine", this time on the Rugged Records label, where we'll once again find the cream of the US hip-hop scene. A total of 9 tracks with their own atmospheres, from the introduction "Here Comes The City Brother" where Duke delivers his scratches, to the sunny "Time To Shine" with Reksl, which tells us about the journey of the Detroit MC, the melancholic "Pain" featuring Mykill Miers invites us to travel to Los Angeles, and finally, "Chillin'" with New York MC The Absouljah, from Queens, takes a dark turn. Assassin's DJ isn't the only producer to shine on this EP, as he also invited the prolific Al'Tarba for a remix of the project's flagship track with DJ Nixon's aggressive cuts on "Time To Shine", where he was able to impose his touch and virtuosity. The instrumental versions of each track, as well as scratch tools, complete this high-quality EP.
