Jamaican-born trumpeter Dizzy Reece was a pillar of the London jazz scene. In the late 1950s, the virtuoso moved to New York, where he signed with the legendary Blue Note label. It was in 1959 that this unique musician released 'Star Bright,' his second album with Blue Note. For this true hard bop gem, Dizzy Reece was accompanied by genre heavyweights such as Hank Mobley (Saxophone), Wynton Kelly (Piano), Paul Chambers (Bass), and Art Taylor (Drums).
