Dilly Dally is back with an album featuring gleaming electric guitars and raucous drums, a heavy sound with powerful melodies. The band Dilly Dally, back from the dead, is releasing a new record for the fall season. 'Heaven' is wild, an ode to optimism, full of distortion, and a true cry of hope and love in a dark world full of doubt. Frontwoman Katie Monks describes the songs as a survival kit and a declaration of faith in the power of music. 'Heaven' is Dilly Dally's new album and was recorded with producer Rob Schapf (Elliott Smith, Beck); it is imbued with a true rock energy, with raw vocals and edgy rhythms, which gives the melodies a brutal character. Monks and guitarist Liz Ball, who formed the band in college, have always produced rock influenced by 90s grunge. Now accompanied by bassist Jimmy Tony and drummer Benjamin Reinhartz, the two women are renewing their influences and returning with a new album of explosive rock.
