An uncompromising artist between poetry, bossa, and jazz, Didier Sustrac shows that he is one of the best at marrying Brazilian music with the French language. His new album (paired with a Best Of of 20 tracks) is no exception; it is a delight! Didier Sustrac picked up the family guitar at the age of eight. Ten years later, he set off to explore Venezuela and then Brazil, experiencing the shock of bossa nova. He immersed himself in the movement of Joao Gilberto, Caetano Veloso, and refined his writing, for which French became essential. A few years later, his first album titled 'Zanzibar' brought him considerable success in France and Japan. These were perfect opportunities to hit the road again and invoke encounters: poems for Madagascar, a duet with Chico Buarque, or Claude Nougaro.
