DF Tram is a leading figure in the global downtempo electronic scene, celebrated for his meticulously crafted audiovisual performances and immersive storytelling through sound. The Los Angeles native’s work seamlessly blends ambient, sampling, spoken word, vocals, and psychedelia into genre-defying sonic journeys, offering listeners a unique and transformative experience. Composed and recorded between DF Tram’s studios in Zagreb and Vienna during the pandemic, the album was completed last year. Bittersweet Afternoon represents the next chapter in his career. The album surprises listeners with its vocals, bittersweet lullabies, and his signature collage and spoken word style with its atmospheric soundscapes and cinematic influences. Experimental and avant-garde, rich music complemented by collaborations with Alex Paterson from The Orb on two tracks, as well as contributions from the multi-talented contemporary classical violinist, Violeta Vicci, on two other songs.
