Devonté Hynes (better known as Blood Orange) releases on Domino the soundtrack for the event film Queen & Slim, directed by Melina Matsoukas, who has notably been awarded for her music videos for Beyoncé and Rihanna. This is the second time the songwriter has composed a film score, after that of Palo Alto by Gia Coppola in 2013.With Daniel Kaluuya (Black Panther, Get Out) and Jodie Turner-Smith, this modern-day Bonnie & Clyde is elevated by Hynes' fascinating and intoxicating compositions, which once again demonstrate his status as an accomplished artist and one of the most influential of his generation.
