Twenty years have already passed since *Cripple Crow*, Devendra Banhart's landmark album, was released in 2005 on XL Recordings. A true manifesto of the Freak Folk movement and a central figure in the New Weird America scene, the Venezuelan-American artist celebrates this milestone with an expanded reissue of his now-cult fifth opus. For the occasion, the album is being re-released on his brand-new label, Heavy Flowers, augmented with a bonus third vinyl (pressed in Clear Green Smoke) compiling nine additional tracks: one B-side, five unreleased demos, two never-before-published live tracks, and a "smash hit" unearthed from the original sessions. Hailed upon its release with an 8.4 "Best New Music" from Pitchfork, *Cripple Crow* has lost none of its enchanting power.
