{"product_id":"depeche-mode_sounds-of-the-universe_2013_son","title":"Sounds of the universe","description":"Vinyl reissue: They lasted for pleasure. Nearly three decades after their debut, the three from Depeche Mode have lost none of their edge and even indulge in inventing a new musical genre: retro-futuristic electro-rock. There's no need to ask the Basildon trio what their secret is. It hits the ears from the very first notes of In Chains, which shows what vintage synths driven by current technology Gore, Gahan, and Fletcher are warming up with today. While the interest of this new album does not solely lie in its sound design, which producer Ben Hillier helped to develop as if it were a magic formula, it must be admitted that it makes a large part of its charm. Certainly, Wrong, the first single, promises to cause serious damage in stadiums where the crowd will sing it back in unison. Likewise, Jezebel, sung by a Martin Gore who fancies himself as Scott Walker, has everything to join the group's classics. But the blatant tweaks that punctuate Hole To Feed, Perfect, or the glamorous Corrupt undeniably contribute to their effectiveness. The group's second official songwriter today, Dave Gahan delivers some gems like the glorious Come Back, whose wall of electricity is reminiscent of those once built by My Bloody Valentine. Recorded by a Depeche Mode that has found itself and is proud to have survived everything, Sounds Of The Universe is a triumphant new step in the career of a group whose musical personality, more endearing than dark, undeniable artistic quality, and enthusiasm for questioning, have never ceased to inspire respect.","brand":"Depeche Mode","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57812648919384,"sku":null,"price":20130805.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/depeche-mode_sounds-of-the-universe_2013_son","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
