A powerful and intimate reinterpretation of Nick Drake's final album. British folk singer-songwriter Nick Drake recorded three albums during his short life, with Pink Moon being his ultimate work. Demian Dorelli was born in 1972, the year Pink Moon was released, and this English pianist developed a lifelong fascination with Drake's music. Demian and his producer, Alberto Fabris, took on the challenge of recreating Pink Moon's eleven tracks as simple and intimate solo piano pieces. Demian explores and pays homage to Drake's unique guitar playing, experimental tuning, and poetic lyrics, transcribing melodies from one instrument to another. Nick Drake's Pink Moon, A Journey on Piano was recorded and mixed at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios by the legendary Tim Oliver (Robert Plant, Sinead O'Connor…).
