Rain Forest

Description

Escaping from his pop-garage band Brotherhood, Delgado Jones releases a twilight folk-rock garage album. Written and composed after traumatic events, Rain Forest is a complete departure from his previous record The Man from Amoitius (L'Eglise de la Petite Folie, 2016). After experiencing the Bataclan attacks, the death of a friend, and getting involved in a refugee aid collective, Jacques Creignou, aka Delgado Jones, releases an album as a form of therapy. Rain Forest is a narrative record, pervaded by anger, hatred, and a deep sense of incomprehension, emotions counterbalanced by hope and the search for tranquility. It ends with a hopeful synth-driven track, "Upon the Bullshit". The cover art is the work of his friend Elise Frichet, who created four paintings related to the album, bringing the darkness of a disarticulated, dehumanized puppet, but upon closer inspection, one can find light within it.
