Formed in 2008, Defeater made a name for themselves in the hardcore world through the quality of their songwriting. The members of Defeater have never been afraid to shift into a higher gear, and the latest chapter in their universe, Defeater, their fifth album, presents the band in its rawest form, giving their best. To record the songs that would make up "Defeater," the band teamed up with producer/engineer Will Yip (Quicksand, La Dispute, Blacklisted, Ms. Lauren Hill), whose enthusiasm and talent pushed the songs to their full potential. What emerged from these sessions is Defeater's most devastating, yet also most sonically striking, record to date. Both brutal and atmospheric, the tracks showcase a band that constantly reinvents itself and never stops pushing its boundaries. Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, Defeater is comprised of Derek Archambault (vocals), Adam Crowe (guitar), Jake Woodruff (guitar), Joe Longobardi (drums), and Mike Poulin (bass). They have toured alongside bands such as La Dispute, Comeback Kid, and August Burns Red.
