Humanicide

Description

« Violence, rage, and always this desire to destroy everything! » METALLIAN May 2019 In the early 80s, one of the most important thrash metal bands was founded in the Bay Area of San Francisco. Dark Theory was founded by young Rob Cavestany, Dennis Pepa, and Andy Galeon, who was only 9 years old at the time! The band started by playing covers of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Ozzy Osbourne. Soon, the guys changed the band's name to Death Angel, and Dennis's brother, Gus, joined the band on guitar, with Mark Osegueda as the singer. Their demo "Kill As One" was produced by Kirk Hammet of Metallica and was released by Enigma Records. After that, Death Angel played shows with bands like Slayer and Megadeth. The mighty Death Angel is back with their 4th album since their reformation. Fueled by unwavering energy, the California Thrashers do not limit themselves to aggressive Thrash; the band indeed offers us memorable acoustic atmospheres and manages to maintain a prog approach in their style by incorporating many varied elements into their music, thus pushing the boundaries of the sound that has characterized them for three decades. Death Angel is truly back with their creative madness.
