Time and the river

« Time and The River » brings together the saxophone legend David Sanborn and the immense bassist & producer Marcus Miller. The last collaboration of these two heavyweights dates back to 1999 (the album « Inside » on the Elektra label won 5 Grammys and 7 gold records), it is a true joy to see them again for this new funky experience full of groove and charm. While David Sanborn on alto saxophone unleashes all the fervor and emotion we know him for, Marcus Miller provides the rhythmic foundation of the album, of which he is also the producer. In addition to Marcus Miller on bass, David Sanborn is accompanied by Roy Assaf (piano), Yotam Silberstein and Nicky Moroch (guitar), Peter Hess (soprano saxophone & flute), Justin Mullens (trumpet), Tim Vaughn (trombone), Ricky Peterson (Hammond organ), Javier Diaz (percussion) and Marcus Baylor (drums). We will also note the participation of singer Randy Crawford on Windmills of Your Mind (Les moulins de mon coeur) and singer Larry Braggs on Can't Get Next To You.
