The Nordic primitive metal duo returns with an explosive new album "Pre-Historic Metal". 'Pre-Historic Metal' contains eight epic tracks and gargantuan riffs with an organic sound and the omnipresent spirit of the 70s and 80s, for a new continuation of the mastery already glimpsed on 2024's 'It Beckons Us All'. This new chapter in Darkthrone's extensive and ongoing catalog presents a vast odyssey through the soundscapes of Thrash, Black, Heavy and Doom Metal. With a guitar presence that is both punishing and "in your face", Darkthrone stirs the cauldron of wild creativity by nodding to the characteristic writing methods of their early late-80s work, but with a more refined craftsmanship. 'Pre-Historic Metal' was recorded at Chaka Khan Studios, Oslo, with production by Ole Øvstedal, Silje Høgevold and Mads Luis. Mastering was done by Jack Control at Enormous Door, as well as by Maor Appelbaum Mastering.
